Sanitas Mas Salud is a brand new product launched in 2013! This plan provides complete, high quality cover while giving you access to all the facilities and specialists within the Sanitas network.
CO-PAYMENTS- EXCESS ( MAS SALUD PLUS AND OPTIMA)
If you decide to opt for co-payments (in order to reduce your premium further) the co-payments are very reasonable:
These are additional charges applied to Mas Salud Optima and Plus when utilizing the services, these are applied according to the below tables of excess and they are per medical act used ( even if you are going to have one visit to the clinic, within that visit more services can be performed).
They are sent to your bank trimestral ( January, April, September and January) together with the premium, breakdown of these charges are available either asking us for it or logging into your own sanitas.es private client area.

In instances where you require a course of services these are charged at special rates with a one off payment of €12. These include:
- Physiotherapy (10 treatment sessions)
- Oxygen Therapy (30 days)
- Aerosol Therapy (15 days)
- Ventilotherapy (15 days)
- Antenatal Care
WAITING PERIODS

- Vital Emergencies: IMMEDIATE ( possible death within 24h)
- Outpatient surgery: 3 months
- High technology diagnostic tests: 6 months (ex MRI, PET).
- Endoscopy and colonoscopy : 10 months
- Psychology: 6 months.
- Childbirth: 8 months.
- Hospitalisation, including inpatients, day patients 10 months.
- Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, cobalt therapy, radioactive isotopes, linear accelerator, scanner, magnetic resonance, nuclear medicine, bone densidometry, lithotripsy, digital arteriography, radio-neurosurgery and prostate hyperthermia services: 10 months.
- Bariatric treatment: 60 months.This is the period of time (calculated by months elapsed from the effective date of the insurance) during which some of the covers included do not enter into force, these are applied to all new customers that enter the private sector new and standard industry ( applied by all insurers).
*If transferring from another insurance company in Spain or any of the BUPA GROUP and have been with that insurer for more than a year, by providing a copy of your particular conditions and last receipt of the premium with them, Sanitas will eliminate all waiting periods,
DISCOUNTS
Annual discounts: 4% (If you pay for the whole year upfront you will receive this special discount).
AGE LIMITS
- Initially you may contract this policy up to age 75. There is no upper age limit to remain covered, once contracted.
- For all members that are 75+ years of age a one-off joining fee applies and a medical report issued from your current G.P.
